Private Ora Lynn Cox enlisted into the Army in January 1943. He did the Army Specialized Training Program at the University of Florida and was sent overseas in August 1944 with Company B, 319th Engineer Combat Battalion, 94th Infantry Division.
Private Cox was killed in action on Oct. 8, 1944, in France. He is buried at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona, Wisconsin.
