More About First Lieutenant Crabb

First Lieutenant Raymond R. Crabb was called into active service from the USAAF reserves on July 27, 1942. He became an aviation cadet and spent a year overseas as an electronics specialist. After the war ended, First Lieutenant Crabb was stationed in the Pacific for occupation duties with the 769th Army Air Force Base Unit. Lieutenant Raymond R. Crabb was killed on May 6, 1947, when the C-46D cargo aircraft he was in crashed into a mountainside on Kyushu. First Lieutenant Crabb left behind a wife and two children. He is buried at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
