More About First Lieutenant Buckley

First Lieutenant Buckley was one of the first Wisconsin men to enter service. Prior to his death, he had seen several months of service flying on the Flanders front.

He was killed in a plane crash during a photographic observing mission while serving as an instructor at an aviation school in France. Lieutenant Buckley is buried at the Saint-Mihiel American Cemetery in Thiaucourt-Regniéville, France.
