More About Staff Sergeant Holtzman

Prior to enlisting, Staff Sergeant Holtzman was the shipping manager of Sprague-Dawley Inc. in Madison. He was a nose gunner on a B-24 Liberator bomber. Ssg. Holtzman is memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing at the Cambridge American Cemetery. He received the Presidential citation, Air Medal with an Oak Leaf Cluster, and ETO ribbon with two stars. He was killed while bailing out of a damaged aircraft and was never seen again.
