More About Second Lieutenant Anderson

Lieutenant Anderson was a graduate of the Milwaukee Normal School, Beloit College, and the University of Wisconsin. Before the war, he was preparing to practice law.

He attended the Second Officers’ Training Camp at Fort Sheridan, 12th Company. After receiving his commission he was ordered to France and sailed in January, 1918. Once abroad he received further military training and was assigned to the 61st Regiment before finally being transferred to the 26th Regiment where he would serve until his death.

Lieutenant Anderson was killed in action during the Battle of Château-Thierry.
