More About Captain Bowman

Captain Bowman enlisted in November 1940, went through Officers’ Training, and served as a pilot on submarine patrol duty. While overseas, he was originally reported missing after a raid over Bremen, but was later declared killed in action. During his service he logged over 200 hours of hazardous flying and was named squadron commander just prior to the Bremen raid. He is now buried at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, WI.
