More About Captain Bailey

Captain Charles Ransom "Chick" Bailey enlisted in the US Army Signal Corps on June 30, 1942. He attained the rank of captain and served overseas in France. While serving in France, Captain Bailey caught pneumonia and was sent back to the United States for treatment. Captain Bailey passed away from complications related to pneumonia while he was at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, Colorado, on May 12, 1945. He is buried at Spring Grove Cemetery in Litchfield, Minnesota
