Clifford Robert Arndt

First Lieutenant Arndt enlisted Dec. 16, 1941, in San Francisco, California. He completed his pilot training at Victorville, California, in June 1942 and went overseas to England in September 1942. He was sent to the North African Theater where he served as a pursuit pilot with the 91st Fighter Squadron, 81st Fighter Group. He was lost on Jan. 30, 1943, and pronounced dead. He is memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing at the North African American Cemetery in Carthage, Tunisia.
