More About First Lieutenant Wallrich

First Lieutenant Wallrich was a member of Wisconsin’s first contingent to go through Fort Sheridan. While there, he received his university diploma and was commissioned.

While in France, 1st Lt. Wallrich was appointed Regimental Gas Officer. At the time of his death, he had led and completed several gas attacks. He was killed in action near Jaulgonne, northeast of Château-Thierry.
