Private Dwight Frank enlisted into the Union Army on Nov. 4, 1861. He was assigned to the 10th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment. The regiment advanced through the south, taking Huntsville, Alabama on April 11, 1862. It was here at Huntsville that Private Frank would die of disease on May 10, 1862. He is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama.
