Ensign Entrop enlisted 6 Dec. 1917 and began training at the Naval Training Station in Great Lakes, IL. He was there until May 10, 1918 and then received training at the Naval Radio School in Cambridge, MA until September 19, 1918. He served as Landsman for Electrician (Radio) for 200 days.
He later fell ill and died of Spanish influenza at a naval hospital.
