Lieutenant Colonel Eagan enrolled in the university on September 22, 1937.

Lt. Col. Eagan was taken as a Prisoner of War while fighting in Korea on November 29, 1950, and declared dead on January 14, 1954. His remains were never recovered, however, his name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
