First Lieutenant Warvi entered the army in January, 1944, and before that he had spent two years as an instructor in surgery at the University of Cincinnati hospital. His writings include several papers on tumors and cancer which have been published by the American Journal of Pathology and the Mayo Memorial volume of "Surgery."
1st Lt. Warvi was killed in an auto accident near Ogallala, NE when returning to his base at Camp Phillips, KS.
