More About First Lieutenant Schoephoester

First Lieutenant Schoephoester studied geology while at the university. 1st Lt. Schoephoester enlisted in the air corps in October 1937. He was transferred to Connecticut from Bolling Field, Wash. As a graduate of Kelly Field, Texas, he had been with an observation squadron as a photographer. 1st Lt. Schoephoester was killed in the crash of an A-29 aircraft he was piloting along with five other aviators.
