More About Private Cooley

Private Cooley entered Camp Grant in July, 1918 and subsequently went overseas with the Rainbow Division. He saw active service for quite sometime before his death and was cited for heroism for carrying messages through a heavy barrage. He died of spinal meningitis and is buried in an American cemetery in France.
