More About Captain Schade

Captain Schade studied Agricultural Education and was a member of Alpha Zeta. He participated in the 4-H Club, Blue Shield, the House Presidents’ Council, Lodging House Board, and the Pershing Rifles.

Capt. Schade attended an officer candidate school in Philadelphia, PA. He was sent to the Philippines in June 1940.

Capt. Schade became a Japanese prisoner of war during the invasion of the Bataan Peninsula in the Philippines. He was lost at sea while being moved from the Philippines to Japan.
