During his time at the university, Major Post studied Civil Engineering and authored a thesis entitled, “An Economic Study of the Neenah-Menasha By-Pass.” He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Camera Club, and the Union Board Commons Committee. He also participated in crew and orientation week.

Maj. Post was decorated with the Distinguished Service cross for valuable information he gained while in New Britain jungles for 100 days in the summer of 1943.

Maj. Post was killed in an airplane accident on Biak Island.
