Ensign Kulczycki studied Chemical Engineering and authored a thesis entitled, “Survey of Iridium Plating.” He was a member and served as president of Sigma Delta Omega and Theta Chi. He also participated in the student council.
Ens. Kulczycki was on the USS Bullhead (SS-332) submarine when it was sunk by an air attack while in the west end of Lombok Strait.
