More About Second Lieutenant Jessen

Second Lieutenant Jessen was killed in a BC-1 Crash at Langley Field, Virginia. He was serving a flight instructor at Kelly Field in San Antonio. A collision of two night-patrolling planes occurred 7 miles northwest of San Antonio. The crash occurred while the planes were returning to their base because of weather conditions. Lt Jessen's plane landed in a field and bounced and skidded 700 yards on to the Fredericksburg Road. His wife, Jeanne Falk Jessen of Wauwatosa, was a fellow UW-Madison student.
