More About Captain Harmon

Captain Harmon studied Accounting at the university, participated in cross country, received sophomore honors, and was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi.

Capt. Harmon enlisted 16 Jan 1941. While in service, he flew 51 combat missions all with the same crew and bomber.

He was killed when his B-26 was hit by enemy flak and crashed northwest of Paris, France. He received the Air Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart and 11 Oak Leaf Clusters.
