Staff Sergeant Fleury studied advertising at the university. He was on the Cardinal staff and was a part of the Hoofers. SSgt. Fleury enlisted 19 May 1942 and was set overseas in March, 1943. While overseas he served as a Liberator bomber gunner. He was killed in action over Austria and is now buried at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Lemay, MO.
