More About Lieutenant Bryant

William Arthur Bryant enlisted into the US Army Air Forces on May 14, 1942. After completing his training in August 1943, he was assigned to the 447th Bomb Squadron, 321st Bomb Group where he flew on B-25 Mitchell bombers. 2nd Lieutenant Bryant was killed when his B-25 (s/n 42-64546,) nicknamed "Jessie James," crashed near the 57th Station Hospital in Vincenzo, Italy. He was a veteran of the Mediterranean Theater. Lieutenant William Bryant is buried at Eastlawn Cemetery in Beloit, Wisconsin.
